7. Christmas Craft Fair

Dec 04 - 20, Garter Lane, O’Connell Street, free admission. Open Tues - Sat, 10am - 5.30pm and Sun, 12.30pm – 5.30pm, closed Mon.

All items are handmade by local artists. The crafts include silk scarves, wood pieces, slate mirrors, handbags, jewellery, stained glass, knitted items, basketry, pottery, paintings,
candles, preserves, jams, cakes and puddings.

9. Hasbro Giving Tree

Dec 07 - 18, George’s Court. Children can make a decoration to hang on the Hasbro Giving Tree, and for each contribution, Hasbro will donate a game to children in need this Christmas.



10. The Christmas Memorial Tree

Dec 10 - 24, John Roberts Square. Buy a Christmas bow and hang it on the Christmas Memorial Tree in memory of a loved one. Organised by the Rotary Club, all proceeds go to Waterford Hospice.

12. WLRFM Christmas Concert

Dec 12, 4pm, Cathedral of the most Holy Trinity, Barronstrand Street. in aid of the WLR Lions Club Christmas Appeal. This is your chance to be part of a live broadcast on local radio.

13. ‘The Santa Dash’

Dec 13, 1pm, starts at the Apple Market, then up Michael Street to John Roberts Square, finishes at the cathedral. Registration and Santa suits will be available in George’s Court Shopping Centre on Dec 6.

In aid of Solas (South Eastern Cancer Support Centre).



14. Handel’s Messiah

Dec 19, 8pm, Cathedral, Barronstrand Street. Performed by the Resurgam Choir and Irish Baroque Orchestra, this is one of the musical highlights of Christmas in Waterford.
